Whether you chose the dining plan for your trip or not, sometimes you need to spend a little money for an extra snack (or two, if you are like my family and have a hubs & a kid who are ALWAYS hungry!) I like to look around each time I am in Walt Disney World and check prices and make a mental note of where to buy our snacks, because prices vary from place to place and I like to be smart about what we pay for. There are reasonably priced snacks hidden all over, amongst all the “I-am-not-paying-that-much-for-that!” type snacks 🙂 To me, any “snack” that costs over $5 seems too expensive, and even paying $4.99 doesn’t seem great to me, but that’s how I figure out if we should get it or not. If one of us wants a snack, I’ll say, “as long as it’s under $5 :)” Read more

Thrifty Thursday: Pin Trading is a Thrifty Way to Have Fun!
Pin trading is an inexpensive way to have fun and interact with Disney Cast Members! When we first tried pin trading in 2008, Ashley loved it. At first she was really shy and wanted us to ask for pins, but after a day or so she got used to it and was quickly on a mission for all the “baby” Disney Characters. Read more
Out of the World Summer in Disneyland Paris: Let’s Ride!
In Disneyland Paris, it was really fun to explore all the rides! Some are the same as the ones in Orlando, plus some additions that you can only see in Paris. This makes a trip like this so fun (and worth the money!), because you get to experience some Disney things that you have never seen before. So cool! I’ve listed the rides you will see in DLRP, and given a short description of the ones you may not be familiar with. Read more
Out of the World Summer: Disneyland Paris Partner Hotels
When I was starting my research on Disneyland Paris, I think one of the things that intrigued me the most were the Disney “partner” hotels! As I said in my post about their on-site resorts, those are geared towards Europeans that want a taste of America – well, we don’t really need that, do we? We are in Europe, so we want a lovely European or Fantasy-land type flair in our resorts! So let’s look into those off properties partner hotels and see what they are all about! Read more
Out of the World Summer: The 411 on Disneyland Paris!
We are back fresh from Europe! Are you eager to learn about Disneyland Paris!?! I’m going to be brutally honest, if you want to save money, don’t go in the summer! I think that, for the ultimate Disney fans, it’s something you should see. If you aren’t all that interested, save your money for something bigger and better in France. There is a lot to do, but that is for another time and place 😉
I loved being in another Disney park. The decor and the rides were great! Their Space Mountain was awesome, it has a fast take off and some twists and the decor and theme may even be better than Orlando’s. Most of the rides were comparable to the ones we know and love. We rode the following: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Small World, Lancelot’s Carousel, Hatter’s tea cups, Pirates of the Caribbean (no Jack Sparrow in theirs!), Indiana Jones Coaster and the Haunted Mansion. The Indiana Jones coaster was more like a “wild mouse” ride. Personally, I like the show better;) Their Rock and Roll roller coaster was down while we were there, so there wasn’t too much to do in the Studios Park besides Tower of Terror. Like our Hollywood Studios, their Studios Park is a lot of shows and experiences. It was very crowded so getting on everything was never a possibility. Read more
