Exploring Disney: Getting Splashy in Your Laughing Place

Everybody has a laughing place. You’ve heard that, right?

Well, if you’ve been to Disney, or you come from a bygone era that allows you to be familiar with Song of the South, you have. This is the sentiment that you will find at one of the most iconic classic Disney rides, and one that holds a special place in my heart…

Exploring Disney: Enjoying Some Hunny with Your Favorite Pooh

Since we just finished splashing around with Ariel, I thought that today’s exploration should bring us back to dry land while we continue to enjoy the classic stylings of Fantasyland. We’re going to backtrack a little, go back through the gate to Belle’s town, and return to the original stretch of Fantasyland. Though we aren’t visiting an original attraction, it is classic enough to seem like it should have always been there. Exploring Disney: Fulfilling Mermaid Dreams with Ariel

Now that we’ve made our way down Main Street, we are going to venture further into the rest of the park and see what we can discover. There are many different directions that we can go once we reach the gardens in front of Cinderella Castle, but today we are going go straight through the center and explore Fantasyland (technically New Fantasyland). While you roam through the middle of the castle, be sure to take in the gorgeous mosaic on the wall. Those little tiles were individually hand-set and tell the story of Cinderella. This is also where you’ll find the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Once through the castle you’ll find yourself standing at Prince Charming’s Royal Carousel. From here, head through the turrets that will bring you into the newest section of the Magic Kingdom. The first section you encounter is themed to Beauty and the Beast. Here you’ll find some of the other gems we’ll be exploring soon, including Be Our Guest Restaurant. Today, though, we are going past provincial France and into the world of Eric and Ariel. Find the front of the ship and Ariel’s castle, and you are ready to venture under the sea. Read more

Exploring Disney: Shops of Main Street U.S.A.

When most people think about a trip to Disney World there are two things that immediately come to mind — rides and characters. The longer that you think about it, however, the more other things start to occur to you, and one that starts to gleam all shiny and exciting (if you’re anything like me, at least) is shopping.
