Celebrating Birthdays with Disney

How much more magical can you get than Disney?   Well none, in my opinion.   So, where would be a more perfect place to celebrate a birthday?

Everyone in my family has celebrated something at Walt Disney World.  Our first visit was for my son’s fifth birthday, but we had not yet been clued in on celebrations.  We learned on that trip and made sure to take advantage of it on following trips.  We returned to Walt Disney World when Clay was 10, in 2009, to celebrate again.  This time we did it right.  Everyone in our group wore an “I’m Celebrating” button.  Clay, of course, wore his special birthday button.  Everywhere we went people were singing Happy Birthday. It wasn’t just cast members either.  Total strangers were singing!  The best part was seeing shy little Clay’s red face.  He had never experienced that much attention all at once! Read more

I made our ADR several months ahead of time, and one of the main reasons I chose this restaurant was for my father.  He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War and I have often heard him talk about schnitzel and other famous foods of Germany and how he would love to go back.  I always try to pick at least one restaurant for each member of our party (usually 7 of us). Last time we read of the thrills and excitement experienced while riding on Kali River Rapids.  Well, this attraction is nothing near the thrill ride of Kali, but it is just as exciting!  Number six on my kids’ top 10 most fun things to do at Walt Disney World is meeting characters.  You can accomplish this in several different ways and in lots of different places.  Each park has certain characters in certain places through out the day.  Always check with guest relations at each park to verify the exact time and place of character appearances.
