This week I want to focus on some people on the Disney Properties that are not always considered Cast Members, and those Cast Members that you never really see or think about. When you go through the gates and on to property, even when you get to the parks, you have a feeling of being safe. When I began my training to work at Walt Disney World I started by learning the typical things: safety, proper attire, and the actual working of the attractions. But that wasn’t the only thing that I had to learn. Working at Disney you have to learn their terminology. If you’ve been to Disney World and spoken to the Cast Members, or read the signs around the park then you’ll understand what I mean. Disney won’t ignore you, or only simply say hey. Walt Disney World like all of the Disney Parks has been going through a lot of major changes in the recent years. Disney is constantly changing its parks, yearly and monthly things are changing even if they are just small changes. These are to benefit the guests, making lines shorter, park time more enjoyable, and more memorable moments. It is a big thing for everyone when these changes take place. Guests may find their favorite rides temporarily down or Cast Member’s may find themselves learning new procedures or even new rides! People might wonder what generally happens when all of these new changes are unveiled. Working at Walt Disney World I got to see a lot of things both behind the scenes and out among the guests. Being a guest at Walt Disney World you can also see most of these things as well, which makes visiting the parks both fun and entertaining. Disney provides a lot of visual stimulation in it’s architecture and decoration but sometimes that’s not even the best part.
