It so frustrates me when I hear someone call Disney’s Animal Kingdom a zoo! When you visit Animal Kingdom and encounter the animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari, you realize that this is anything but a zoo! As you ride in a open-air jeep through the savanna, you will see animals on both sides of the jeep and we have had to stop to just let an antelope or another wild animal cross in front of you. Terrific Tuesday: Rainforest Cafe
On a recent trip, we got caught in a slight rain shower as we exited Animal Kingdom. Not really feeling like getting wet, we ducked into Rainforest Cafe as we exited The Oasis. There is a convenient entrance into the restaurant to the right before you leave Animal Kingdom. Please note though – this is just another exit from the park, so you will need to re-enter the park just like the front entrance. Read more

To me, the Mexican pavilion at Epcot is one of the coolest pavilions around World Showcase! In the middle of a bright hot sunny day, you can retreat to a lively fiesta evening in Mexico under the stars. Not only is it air conditioned, but looking at the stars above, you are transported into a relaxing part of the evening. Read more
Thrifty Thursday: Getting Into the Holiday Spirit
We visited Walt Disney World this year the first week of November. Turned out to be the best week of the year, well at least in our opinion! We had some friends go the following week and they talked about how long all the lines were, even the Fast Pass Line. They said the crowds seems so much higher then other weeks they had gone.
