Disney with Little Ones: Memory Maker

I’ll be the first to admit that I was skeptical about getting my money’s worth out of Memory Maker, and consequently very hesitant to pay the $169 purchase price. During past trips, I’d been more than content to bring a nice DSLR and take my own pictures or ask the PhotoPass photogs to snap one of all of us with my camera. The big difference this time was that we decided to ditch the strollers now that our kids are 6 and 7 years old. Skipping strollers was great and very freeing in many ways – but it also meant losing out on a lot of storage space for things that we now needed to carry in our backpack. Having a couple of  boys, I get a little anxious if travel plans don’t go as smoothly as anticipated. Patience at these ages (okay, mine too) only lasts so long and car rides become really miserable for everyone when young children are unhappy or bored. Not so long ago we hesitantly made the decision to drive from Indiana to the Florida panhandle – a total of 11 hours drive time in normal traffic. Disney with Little Ones: The Countdown is On

Friends, we are less than 50 days away from enjoying our next adventure at our favorite vacation destination – the Walt Disney World Resort! I get too excited myself to ever keep Disney trips a secret from my kids (although this is a Disney bucket list goal that I have…someday) so we just enjoy counting down the days. At the 180 day mark, we make our dining reservations and that’s when things start to get serious for us. By 60 days, we know which park we will be in on which day and make our FastPass+ reservations online bright and early at 7 am.  This time, I got everything we wanted. We are really excited to check out everything new at Animal Kingdom and feeling a little sad that The Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios will be closed by the time we arrive. Read more
