Karen grew up in the Boston area and traveled to Disney World many times with her parents and sister. Always staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins gave the trips a feeling of a home away from home. It also started the tradition of attending the Hoop Dee Doo Review on each trip! Somehow that show sparked her interest in the Disney College Program. Which she did in the fall of 2002, working as a hostess @ Captain Jacks in Downtown Disney. Now as an adult, Karen finds herself traveling to the parks on a yearly basis! Photography has always been a hobby of Karen’s, but over the past few years it has become her passion. It’s even taken her to her favorite place! The Make a Wish Foundation sent a family to Disney for a week and Karen was lucky enough to be their photographer of choice! She got to tag along and photograph their memories being made. She hopes to get that experience again someday! You can find more of Karen’s photography on her site www.KPportraits.com.

Every trip we buy 3 christmas ornaments. We usually try to get ones that represent something special from our trip. For example, last trip, we were chosen as the family of the night at Chip and Dales campfire sing-a-long. We had a private meet and greet and we escorted Chip and Dale to the stage. So we bought a Chip and Dale ornament to represent that memory!

  2. Teresa says:

I always buy a little beanbag stuffed animal that is usually themed….Epcot country, HS, Mickey in a safari outfit etc. Then always an ornament and a mug.

  3. Beth M. says:

I always come home with a Christmas ornament. This year is the first time bringing the kids, so I’m sure we’ll come home with a lot more!

  4. Brooke says:

I just came homne with a Cinderella Magnet…with the words “These shoes are killing me!” 😀

  5. Sunny says:

I just had my daughter in October, and I’ve been trying so hard to think of what would be a good souvenir to start the tradition with. As in something we could get one of each time we go. I’m the pin collector of the family, but I suppose that’s a choice you can never go wrong with!

  6. Holly says:

I always get a Christmas ornament with the year on it so we can relive the memories each Christmas. My personal favorite are earrings made from recycled paper that I bought at Epcot at my last visit.

  7. Johnny Huerta says:

Souvenirs are great to keep living the Magic after leaving Disney parks… My favorite souvenirs are cups I get in meal combos.. Also as a kid I loved getting different mickey and character hats… This year on my first trip to Disneyworld I’m buying a different shirt at each park…

  8. Ryan says:

Ok, so my favorite souvenir is one that is missing. Back in the late 80s, I had a medium sized Figment, complete with a shirt that he wore with his name on it. I think my dad through it out, or it’s just blatantly missing. I love Figment, but the new stuffed ones don’t quite live up to the old one.

  9. Lois K says:

I always get an ornament (get one from every vacation we take), and a pin. Lately, I’ve been getting a watch on a trip too…

  10. Ann says:

I usually pick up a pin. Last year it was a Mickey Firefighter and the year before that was Belle.

  11. Angela W says:

We always get a pin each and then something else of our choosing. We’ve come home with many different things and it only took five trips for all four of us to get Mickey ears. LOL.

  12. Elizabeth says:

I still have a Mickey plush that I got on my first-ever trip to Disneyland when I was 8. It’s still a great reminder of my first Disney experience.

  13. Angela C says:

I LOVE pins! We went to Disney for the first time in 12 years back in 2009. I started collecting pins and haven’t stopped 🙂 got my little sister hooked on it too 🙂

  14. Emilia C. says:

My kids really like pins. I like to bring home some little figures or Christmas ornaments
