I know this seems strange as my Tuesday Disney Tip usually has a tip or two from me to you, but I am having the devil of a time trying to figure out about Disney collectibles and I really need your help.
I have an extensive collection of Disney snowglobes (some are pictured here). I truly enjoy looking at them and turning on the lights, and enjoying the music and motion. You may have read about my favorite in my “Disney Favorites” article.
As many of you know, I am expecting my very first grandchild in late October. In my mind, there is no time like the present to start a Disney collection for my new grand-princess. The problem is that I am truly stumped.
Should I choose miniature snowglobes, stamps, vinylmation, pressed coins? I can’t really collect figurines or anything with a character theme because I don’t know who she will choose as her favorite in the years to come. I feel the same applies to pins. A new Disney Christmas ornament each year is a given. Still, I sure could use your help with some ideas for her collection.
I would like to purchase the first of these collectibles during my upcoming trip in a couple of weeks, so any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated. I certainly want to get Princess Aleyah started off on the right Disney footing after all.
Thanks so much for your input and have a Disney day!
Brenda is a native Texan born and raised on the Gulf Coast. She visited Disney World twice as a teenager and always dreamed of growing her family Disney. She took her first-timer husband and their three children to Disney World in 2000 and they now spend every Thanksgiving there. Brenda writes with a comedic twist on various Disney topics. She will be sharing tips she has learned during her travels and also hopes to enlighten people on little-known freebies that Disney has to offer. She wishes she could have met Walt Disney and considers herself to be a student of Walt. In parallel to his dream it is her wish that everyone would take at least one trip to Disney World in order to share in its magic with their families.
