Thrifty Thursday: More Time-Saving Disney Thrifty Tips!

Character Dining is great with Reservations!

I’ve talked a bit about time-savers in the past but ran across these time-saving tips in my notebook.  Being thrifty with our time when at Disney gives us more fun-TIME!

Organize your clothes for each day.  Pack your outfits together, so you can lay out the family outfits for the next day and jump right into your clothes each morning.  This saves time and frustration when you just want to make rope drop for those extra-magic hours!

How about a fast-pass for meals?  Disney ‘s version used to be “priority seating”; however,  that terminology is now “reservations.”  We all love fast passes on our rides so why not take advantage of reservations at our favorite Disney restaurant by making an advance reservation?  When I’m on the Disney vacation adventure, I do not want to wait to be seated and served when I can be out in the park riding Splash Mountain or watching Beauty and the Beast musical show.  Be aware that some restaurants fill up months in advance so be sure to make your reservations as soon as you are eligible.  Dining reservations can be made at Disney World website, through the My Disney Experience app, or by calling. (Of course, your favorite travel agent can help too!) You will find a complete listing for 90 different restaurants.  This site also has a great filter tool so you can search restaurants that accept your type of dining plan specific cuisine, price ranges, type of dining, e.g., buffet, casual, or character dining

While we are talking food, let’s BYOB… no, not booze, Breakfast!  Even if you are staying in a room with no kitchen facilities, this is possible.  Pack up disposable bowls and cereal or breakfast bars in your backpack; buy milk when you get to the park.  Get in the park early, find a sit and serve breakfast on the go, then run as fast as you can to your favorite attraction!  Not only a timesaver, but is financially thrifty too!

Elsa and Anna are HOT! Be smart when waiting in this line!

Saving time waiting in line for a favorite ride can be trying so after you have eaten that relaxing meal, time your wait in line to right before the park parade begins.  Folks start leaving the ride attractions to get that promo spot for the parade viewing.  So while they are waiting for the parade, you go to the front of the line at Toy Story Mania!!!

You can have a fun-filled magical trip that won’t break the bank or the schedule!  Have fun with your family at Disney!
