Thrifty Thursday: Free and Useful Disney Apps

Who loves their free apps?! I do!!!  There are a variety of free Disney applications out there and I wanted share the ones we find most helpful to us on our trips to Walt Disney World.

First and foremost, our favorite is the Wait Times application. We find this very helpful because we can gauge about how long the wait time is for any particular ride in any of the parks. We found the accuracy is fairly good too – give or take 10 minutes. Using this, we can figure out what to do next and what to save for later.

Another app we really love is the gift card application. We usually have a few gift cards that we have bought throughout the year and have received as gifts and this app keeps track of how much is left on each card.

We use the Park Hours app a lot. Sometimes it is hard to keep all of the opening and closing times straight, not to mention who has the extra magic hours from day to day. This app has been a blessing!!! We also enjoy the My Disney Experience – this app compiles all the Disney Park info all in one app. The style is great, though, we have found that this one runs a little slower on our IPhones.

A few lifesaver apps are the Free Disney games applications, as well as the Disney Channel app. These will provide entertainment for your little ones on the plane, getting to and from the parks, and while in long lines.

There are plenty of free Disney applications out there. Go ahead and search them on your phone or tablet, and try some out. If you download one and find you don’t like it, no worries! It was free, right? Just delete it and try another! We enjoy anything that will make our special trip to WDW easier and save time!
