Thrifty Thursday: Eat This, Not That in Epcot Desserts

Last time, we looked at main course items you can get for a deal in Epcot. Now it’s time for dessert …

Espresso

The Expensive Version
At Tutto Italia, you get a single espresso for $3.50 or a double for $5.95.

The Less-Expensive Version
Outside, at the Italy gelato cart, the same single runs you $2.75 while the double sets you back $4.00 

The Least-Expensive Version
Over near Showplace Plaza, a double from Espresso Coffee and Pastries will set you back only $2.99.

Potential Savings: $2.96

Cannoli

The Expensive Version
The delicious sweet pastry is $12 at Tutto Italia.

The Less-Expensive Version
Outside, the gelato stand serves up a cannoli that’s just as good for only $4.75.

Potential Savings: $7.25 

Tiramisu

The Expensive Version
At Via Napoli, this marscapone cream concoction will set you back $8.00.

The Less-Expensive Version
At the gelato stand in Italy, you can get a similar delight for $4.75.

Potential Savings: $3.25

Strawberry Red Bean Ice Cream

The Expensive Version
At the Katsura Grill in the Japan Pavilion, a serving of strawberry adzuki bean ice cream will cost $3.99. 

The Less-Expensive Version
Also in the Japan Pavilion,  the Kabuki Cafe serves strawberry adzuki bean ice cream for $3.50. 

The Least-Expensive Version
Both the Lotus Blossom Cafe and the Joy of Tea Stand in China Pavilion serve strawberry red bean ice cream for $3.25. (Hint: adzuki bean paste is the same thing as red bean paste.)
