Thrifty Thursday: Beating the Heat, Take Three

It’s still hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. So let me share a few more of my favorite ways to beat the Disney heat until things cool off in October.

1. The Haunted Mansion: The queue is covered. And once you’re out of the often over-packed stretching room, it’s smooth sailing and super AC’d for the rest of your ride through the best haunted house in the world. Hurry back?! You’d better believe it, Leota! You all have one of the coolest, most relaxing rides in Orlando.

2. Rock N Roller Coaster: WHAT, you may be thinking. But it’s true! If you use the Single Rider Line, you completely bypass the exterior queue. Not only will you wait and watch the pre-show in blissful air conditioning, at the end, you get to RIDE A ROLLER COASTER … which will totally dry your sweat and make you feel fresh and new. Ahhhh …

3. The Seas with Nemo and Friends / Journey of the Little Mermaid: Not only do these rides boast my favorite ride vehicle (CLAMMOBILE!) but they’re also the coolest and most cooling attractions in all of The World. Once you get to the interior queue, you’re immediately transported under the sea, with dark, blue lighting and soothing sounds. Every time I go through either queue, I really feel like I am under the sea!! And that’s before I even step into the clammobile!!
