Terrific Tuesdays: Soarin’ Around the World

I have always been a huge fan of Soarin’. This attraction has always been one of my favorites, with the smell of oranges, seeing Disneyland and facing the spray of the ocean!

On my last visit to Walt Disney World, I was lucky enough to experience Soarin’ again, this time with my grandson! My how it has changed! It is still a great ride, but the scenes are much more real to me, so real in fact, I had to look away a couple of times to keep from getting light headed. But the scenery is wonderful, and the new, more realistic photography adds to the experience. And the transition from scene to scene is much more real and breath-taking then the previous edition as well.

For this new version, you don’t just travel California, but you are going around the world. From mountains you seem to float over to experiencing the oceans and deserts along the way, you really do feel like you are taking a quick trip around the world! You’ll see the Great Wall of China, Iquazu Falls in South America,  Australia’s Sydney Harbour, the Taj Mahal, the great pyramids, a castle in the Alps and so much more, each change in location will simply take your breath away!

I must say, I do still love Soarin’ Around the World, but this time I did hold on to my hand glider a few times. This attraction is super popular, so FastPasses are strongly recommended!
