The American Adventure pavilion at Disney’s Epcot is a place to learn about and celebrate America’s history. The architecture replicates that of colonial Williamsburg, Independence Hall, the Old State House of Boston and Monticello.

Attractions in this pavilion include daily live musical performances by the Voices of Liberty in a capella and the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corp, various exhibits and a theatrical show. The American Adventure theater show is a 30 minute performance that includes audio animatronic figures and film that portray some of America’s most memorable historical moments. Mark Twain and Benjamin Franklin take you on a journey through the Boston Tea Party, WWII, introductions to Martin Luther King, Jr., Susan B. Anthony and several others. Also, be sure not to miss various events scheduled through out the year at the America Gardens Theaters. Check times guides for exact shows, dates and times.

For shopping in the American Adventure Pavilion, you’ll find a small shop called Heritage Manor Gifts that carries various t-shirts, small trinkets and basic souvenirs.
Dining in the American Pavilion provides traditional American fare. There are no table service restaurants here but 2 counter service and a free standing booth. The Liberty Inn serves burgers, hot dogs, salads and apple pie with ice cream. The Fife and Drum serves up Disney’s famous turkey legs and the Funnel Cake Stand sells, of course, funnel cakes, with various toppings.

Several Hidden Mickeys are located throughout the pavilion. One unique one is located in the show when the Statue of Liberty appears. As the torches begin to rise, check out the smoke behind them. Be sure to stop at the American Pavilion and show your patriotism to this great country.

Shannan is a mom that was born and raised in rural Tennessee. She tells us: “I live with my husband and 3 of our 5 children. Travis is 24 and is father to my grandbabies, Emma and baby Judson. I can’t wait to start sharing Disney with them. Dusty is 22, Clay 12, Zachary 10 and Erin is 8. I clean houses to make money to fund my magical trips. I went to Disney the first time as a teen and couldn’t wait to start introducing my own children to the magic. We took our 3 youngest in 2004 and that started it all. We have been 3 times since then and have our first Christmas trip planned for this December. Usually my parents accompany us on the trip and I have to research and plan for things that will suit various ages in our party of 7. Each time I go, I try new experiences in lodging and dining so I can share it with friends and family that seek my advice on trip planning! Disney is definitely my first choice in vacation destinations. Hopefully there is a Disney surf and turf vacation in our future!“
