You travel all the way to Walt Disney World and on a non park day and your family wants to spend the day in the resort arcade. If constantly feeding quarters into those machines doesn’t sound like fun, Disney has a solution that can be found at Downtown Disney. It is DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park. In short, it is a five floor arcade with ride simulators and lots of cyber fun! My family enjoys spending time at DisneyQuest during our vacations.

One of our favorites is Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold. You find your spot on deck and fire cannons at other ships to battle for the booty. There is also a virtual Jungle Cruise. We had never experienced an attraction like this until coming to Quest. You use a real paddle and paddle your raft down the rapids in this virtual dinosaur world.

At CyberSpace Mountain you build, design, and ride your own virtual roller coaster. You can make it with loops and jumps and all sorts of scary things. Keep in mind after you build it, you will virtually ride it in a ride simulator! It is quite similar to building your own coaster at Sum of All Thrills at Epcot.

They also offer a seat at the Animation Academy just like they do at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You will learn how to draw different Disney characters with an instructor and step by step directions. There are usually quite a few people participating in the Animation Academy. We keep our drawings as a great priced souvenir!

There is an abundance of classic video games as well. Pac-Man, Frogger, Q-Bert and Burger Time are a few classic favorites. A new favorite of our families is a 4 person air hockey table. It provides a new twist on an old favorite!

DisneyQuest requires a separate admission fee. That is included with Magic Your Way packages as well as the Water Parks Fun and More ticket option. Depending on how many quarters are dropped into the machines at the resort arcade, it may be a better value to spend your day here.

Denise has loved Disney as far back as she can remember. She has two teenage girls who were raised with Disney. Their rooms were decorated, and their closets were filled with Disney articles. Denise’s house now has Disney on every wall. Her wardrobe is made up mostly of Disney clothes. She feels that being surrounded by Disney keeps the memories and magic alive! Her friends affectionately call her “the crazy Disney lady”. Denise was born and raised in Oregon. Currently she lives in both Oregon and Florida splitting her time between both parts of the country. She lives with her youngest daughter (15) and her roommate. Her daughter goes to high school In Oregon. Denise and her roommate sneak away to Florida several times a year, as often as possible. Her daughter tags along when she can, without missing too much school. Her oldest daughter (20) doesn’t make it to Florida much anymore, but hopes to again very soon. Denise’s first trip to Walt Disney World was for her birthday in 2009. She fell more in love with the magic of Disney that day! Ever since then, Denise and her kids have been annual passholders. Last spring she upgraded to a premier pass to include Disneyland. Over spring break her youngest daughter had the pleasure of her first visit to Disneyland. With Denise helping them plan, her brother and his family enjoyed their first family trip to Disneyland at that same time. Denise is looking forward to helping you with money saving tips as well as sharing the excitement and magic of Disney!
