This is a test. WARNING! This is only a test.  Number 4 on my kids’ top ten most fun things to do at Walt Disney World is Test Track.  Now, if this was a poll of my favorite things to do, Test Track would have been number one!

Test Track is located in the Future World of Epcot.  It is a simulation ride of the testing that General Motors sends vehicles through before they are considered road safe.  The queue is a welcome center and test shop at GM.  Guests are able to see what tests GM puts each automobile through.  You even get to check out the famous Crash Test Dummies.

After the queue, you are informed of possible tests that your car may experience in a brief video.  You are also warned that a special test has been chosen for your vehicle at the end.  Once you load, and the ride has started, you will go through several testing evaluations such as; hill climbs, different road surfaces and extreme temperature effects.  During the acid corrosion testing, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Hidden Mickeys.  My favorite part is when your car is ready to hit the open road!  You are accelerated to speeds of up to 65 MPH on an open air track at a 50 degree banked curve.  Our favorite time to ride is in the evenings.  All I can say about this ride is “AWESOME”, and I am not much on thrill rides!   Zachary describes the ride as “fast, furious and awesomely fun”.  I totally agree, I love it.

As you exit the ride, you are able to purchase a photo of your group on the attraction or add it to your PhotoPass card in the gift shop.  After the gift shop, you can visit a GM show room full of new and legendary vehicles that have already passed the tests.

Test Track is a very popular ride at Epcot and does offer FastPasses.  There are also height restrictions that should be observed due to the intensity of the ride.

Shannan is a mom that was born and raised in rural Tennessee. She tells us: “I live with my husband and 3 of our 5 children. Travis is 24 and is father to my grandbabies, Emma and baby Judson. I can’t wait to start sharing Disney with them. Dusty is 22, Clay 12, Zachary 10 and Erin is 8. I clean houses to make money to fund my magical trips. I went to Disney the first time as a teen and couldn’t wait to start introducing my own children to the magic. We took our 3 youngest in 2004 and that started it all. We have been 3 times since then and have our first Christmas trip planned for this December. Usually my parents accompany us on the trip and I have to research and plan for things that will suit various ages in our party of 7. Each time I go, I try new experiences in lodging and dining so I can share it with friends and family that seek my advice on trip planning! Disney is definitely my first choice in vacation destinations. Hopefully there is a Disney surf and turf vacation in our future!“
