Terrific Tuesdays: A Disney Christmas

There are so many special times of the year that are perfect to go to Walt Disney World. There is the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Part and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World Resort along with several other great weekends and events throughout the year.

For the last 2 years we have been at Walt Disney World in early December and we just love it. Not only is the weather generally mild, but the crowds are down and we get a chance to explore the hotels and park, along with Disney Springs and see all the magical Christmas decorations that just fill every space, with the decorations matching the area, the theme and the time period of each area. Just as Disney changes the buildings, walking paths, the lights and yes, even the trash cans to reflect where you are at each moment, the decorations change in the same way. For example, in Animal Kingdom, expect to see more natural decorations with a definite animal theme. In Hollywood Studios, the decorations take on more of a Hollywood glitzy feel and in EPCOT, they definitely have an international feel as you wander around World Showcase!

World Showcase has always been one of my favorites. Not only do you get to enjoy the decorations themed with each country, but you get a chance to experience the many countries and see how they celebrate the holidays in their lands.

Have you had a chance to enjoy the many holiday decorations throughout Walt Disney World?  If so, what was your favorite?
