Exploring Disney: Finding Adventure in the Swiss Family Tree House

One of my favorite oldies but goodie attractions is the Swiss Family Tree House. For those of us who remember the movie from 1960, Swiss Family Robinson, the Tree House will especially bring back a lot of memories about how innovative the family was when they were marooned on a deserted island. The movie follows the family as they survive a shipwreck and make a life on an island. This movie and the original from 1940 is currently on Disney Plus. Read more

Exploring Disney: It’s a Whole New World on The Magic Carpet of Aladdin

“Do you trust me?” (As Aladdin asked Jasmine before beginning one of the most famous rides in the history of Disney movies.) If so , then follow us over to Adventureland today, for a magic carpet ride through a “whole new world” – or at least right beside Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and across from Jungle Cruise. Who doesn’t love a ride on a carrousel? If you are a fan, you won’t want to miss the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. This classic attraction in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom features 90 ornate horses just waiting for you to climb aboard. Terrific Tuesdays: Holiday Attractions are Here! The Jingle Cruise

I dislike when rides are closed, even when I know that they really needed refurbished.  I have no idea why it bothers me so much but it does, even when these attractions are not on my “can’t miss” list.  I guess because if I wanted to ride it I can’t.  So I was really excited (for some reason I cannot pinpoint) when I heard that Jungle Cruise had reopened recently.  Read more
