In all the years I have been traveling to Walt Disney World, I had never taken the time to enjoy the Flights of Wonder, until last year! As Disney’s Animal Kingdom adds more “nighttime” things to do at this park, one of the most delightful additions is the nightly “awakening” of the Tree of Life. Each evening after nightfall, every 10 minutes or so, flickering fireflies magically appear on the Tree of Life and they “awaken” all of the animal spirits that are carved into the tree’s towering trunk. It’s beautiful and mesmerizing and definitely something to take a few minutes to watch.
