Disney with Special Needs: Planning Your Jaunt to the Food and Wine Festival

Happy Fall, Y’all! Yes, it is July. However, it is after July 4, so therefore, it is autumn. Maybe not? Alright, so perhaps it isn’t quite fall yet, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t plenty of people whose thoughts have swung right on past the last several weeks of summer and are firmly dreaming of tumbling leaves, cuddly sweaters, and pumpkin spice EVERYTHING. I won’t lie, I kind of dream about this all the time. While last year that meant dreaming of spending my anniversary and Halloween at Disney, for many people that means one pretty fabulous event (and one that, incidentally, is going to start earlier this year than ever before), the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. Special Dining Needs at Disney: No Worries for Quick Service Meals

It gets hot and busy but that’s the perfect time to get a cool snack, or a cold drink and find a little shade to people watch from. When we plan our Disney vacations, advanced dining reservations are a must, especially when food allergies are involved. We usually make reservations for the bigger meals, either breakfast or dinner.   That doesn’t mean that we don’t get hungry during the day though! You don’t need reservations to be able to eat at the park: from the quick service spots to the vendor carts there are plenty of allergy friendly options. Read more

Special Dining Needs at Disney: Welcome Home for Breakfast at Olivia’s Old Key West

IMG_0393Breakfast has never been a favorite meal of mine, but for some reason when I’m at Disney it’s something I just can’t seem to miss out on. As long as I can remember I’ve been having breakfast at Olivia’s at Old Key West Resort whenever I’ve been down in Disney.
