Walt Disney World like all of the Disney Parks has been going through a lot of major changes in the recent years.  Disney is constantly changing its parks, yearly and monthly things are changing even if they are just small changes.  These are to benefit the guests, making lines shorter, park time more enjoyable, and more memorable moments.  It is a big thing for everyone when these changes take place.  Guests may find their favorite rides temporarily down or Cast Member’s may find themselves learning new procedures or even new rides!  People might wonder what generally happens when all of these new changes are unveiled.  If you’ve visited Disney before when these changes have taken place you may already know how seamlessly Disney tries to incorporate them.  But what about with the Cast Members? Cast Member’s Corner: Cast Member Conversations

Having just been in Disney I’m having such a hard time deciding what to write, besides having the post-Disney blues.  After warring with myself for quite awhile I figured I would share some information I attained while on vacation.  In the past I have written about conversing with the Cast Members, it never disappoints.  Between kind-hearted teasing about someone’s “First Visit Again” pin to their knowledge of the parks and what is going on,  I made conversation with several Cast Members while waiting in lines and learned some fun new things. Continuing on from my last article about answering questions people have voiced, today I’m going to answer the question about making your stay a little more memorable.  The question was, “what’s the easiest way to get freebies and fastpasses, or that extra treat?  What can we do to make it a little more memorable?”  This question has a few parts and multiple answers.  What makes you and your family happy may not be the same as another family.  The best advice is, do what you are comfortable with and what makes you happy.  Cast Members love to help you make it extra special so never be afraid to ask them anything.       Read more

Karen grew up in the Boston area and traveled to Disney World many times with her parents and sister. Always staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins gave the trips a feeling of a home away from home. It also started the tradition of attending the Hoop Dee Doo Review on each trip! Somehow that show sparked her interest in the Disney College Program. Which she did in the fall of 2002, working as a hostess @ Captain Jacks in Downtown Disney. Now as an adult, Karen finds herself traveling to the parks on a yearly basis! Photography has always been a hobby of Karen’s, but over the past few years it has become her passion. It’s even taken her to her favorite place! The Make a Wish Foundation sent a family to Disney for a week and Karen was lucky enough to be their photographer of choice! She got to tag along and photograph their memories being made. She hopes to get that experience again someday! You can find more of Karen’s photography on her site www.KPportraits.com.
