Disney with Little Ones: The Jungle Book

13071824_10102115821394034_2982706015604634220_oI have a confession. I have never seen the original 1967 animated version of Walt Disney’s The Jungle Book. There, I said it. Whew. Now that I’ve let you in on my little secret, we can move on. Should I also mention that while I have read my kids the classic Disney book, I’ve never seen any other version or remake of the movie featuring Mowgli, Baloo, and the rest of the crew until now? Anyway, I saw the new live action Disney adaptation of the classic, that is currently in theaters, last Sunday with my family.  For a bunch of people who do not have a longstanding love of all things Jungle, we cannot stop talking about this movie. Terrific Tuesdays: Swiss Family Treehouse

11220064_10153086999576234_1005661320891633311_nSlightly hidden in Adventureland you will find Swiss Family Treehouse. This is not a ride, but rather an attraction. You must be able to climb over 100 steps, which seems a little daunting, but when you see the views of Magic Kingdom as you make your way thru the shipwrecked family home, you will forget those steps. While there are hand-rails along the steps and paths leaving thru and around the treehouse, you should not be fearful of heights and able to make the steps on your own. Read more
