Special Dining Needs at Disney: The Options Go Beyond Ever After

When you have to limit your diet because of allergies or other dietary issues it can be hard to go out to eat, especially when on vacation.  I feel for you, I have been on a few different diets that restricted me from eating certain foods.  I have done dairy free, lactose free, and gluten free.  I know the headache that can be trying to find places to eat in new locations let alone around where you live.  I also know the pain of eating something you are allergic to and the suffering that comes along with it.  The one place I know that I can go to and feel safe with what I eat is Disney, which continues to change and grow each and every time I go so that I can try new things and never grow bored.

Disney is well aware of different food allergies and diet restrictions and wants their guests to eat food with flavor and variety.  Disney delivers in both of these aspects at all of their locations.  The best part about it?  They go above and beyond, even out at sea!  It doesn’t matter what Disney location you are visiting, Disney World, Disneyland, or out at sea on a Disney Cruise.  Disney is making sure that all of their guests enjoy their dining experiences and that they enjoy the food they are eating as well.

It is not difficult to eat at Disney when you have diet restrictions because Disney has put procedures into place.  All you have to do is tell them when you check in for your reservation, or get to the counter to order at a quick service location.  The snack carts are even beginning to label their snacks right on the sign or would be happy to read you the list of ingredients.  You don’t have to use just one of their food services be it sit down or quick service.  Disney leaves you with more choices then you can ever think of.  I know, I’ve tried a lot of them and still haven’t visited all of them!

With this new year I will help those of you with diet restrictions like myself, or those of you who are visiting with someone who does, navigate eating at Disney.  I’ll share what to do, where I’ve been, and everything I know!  So fear not those of you with allergies, I’ve eaten around the Disney world just to be able to tell you all about it!  So every month look forward to a new location, new tip, and new food to be eaten!  Until next time have faith and trust, and Tinkerbell will lead the way with pixie dust!
