Princesses With a Plan: Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

I attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party for the first time on September 30, 2011. I had a wonderful time and it is sure to become a tradition. I hope you will enjoy this pictorial review and that even if you can’t attend this year, you will consider it for next year.

First thing when I entered the park was to get my wristband for the party.

Then I received the MNSSHP brochure which also makes a great souvenir.

Then it was straight on to Town Square Theater to meet my main man, Mickey!

Main Street USA was all decked out for Halloween.

Even the balconies of the buildings were adorned with cleverly decorated pumpkins.

We rode many of our favorite rides during the party. The Haunted Mansion was just one of our “must dos.”

And she was an added treat just for the Halloween Party.

The street dance parties were lots of fun to watch, but I don’t jump up and down so much like I used to!

And, of course, there were fireworks…

As well as the spectacular Boo To You Parade which was awesome!

If you have not been to MNSSHP before, I would definitely recommend it. Plan on attending with your family. It was so much fun to see all the costumes and all the kids having such a wonderful time.

Just wondering how many adults dressed up for the Halloween Party? Also, is there really “trick or treating” or just activities going on? Do we need to bring candy baskets? I don’t want to bring them and have to carry them for 10 pieces of candy! I can throw that in my purse and have one less thing to carry! 🙂

Laura you will find that a number of adults dress up too…but many do not as well, opting for simple “festive” Halloween shirts etc. And yes there really is Trick or Treating!! Lots of it in fact! You don’t need to bring anything, you’ll be provided with candy bags when you get there…just waiting your you and your children to fill them up!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great time! 🙂
