The Holiday Season at Universal Orlando Resort

The holidays are around the corner, and this year’s holiday festivities at Universal Orlando Resort will run from November 16 to January 5, 2020.

At Universal Studios, guests can catch daily showings of the Macy’s Holiday Parade, featuring floats transported to Universal directly from the famed Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In addition to the floats, guests can enjoy marching bands, and clowns, and of course, Santa Claus himself.

Also at Universal Studios, Mannheim Steamroller returns for live performances on select Saturday and Sunday nights in December. Mannheim Steamroller is famed for their modern interpretations of classic Christmas carols, and has become a tradition at Universal Orlando Resort.

Over at Islands of Adventure, Seuss Landing becomes a whimsical wonderland for Grinchmas! The main attraction is the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, a live re-telling of Dr. Seuss’ classic holiday tale. Guests can also enjoy meet-and-greets with many Grinchmas characters and decorations throughout Seuss Landing.

Grinchmas also includes an exclusive character dining experience, the Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast. This breakfast offers an opportunity to meet and take photos with the Grinch and other Whoville residents at the Circus McGurkus Café Stoo-pendous.

Of course, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be celebrating as well! Diagon Alley and London will be transformed with festive décor and brilliant lighting. There are special holiday treats and drinks, the atmosphere is brimming with excitement and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees have a special show prepared just for the occasion. In addition, Hogsmeade embraces the holiday spirit as the shops will be festively decorated with garland and lights. The Frog Choir will sing seasonal melodies and there will be special treats and drinks to share. As the stars begin to shine, guests can revel in a dazzling projection of holiday spirit as The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle unfolds.

Universal Orlando’s on-site hotels also get into the holiday spirit. Guests can enjoy holiday movies under the stars, special decorations, holiday themed crafts and activities, special seasonal dining experiences, and more.
