Favorite Universal Orlando Quick-Service Restaurants

Here are five of my favorite quick-service restaurants at Universal Orlando.

Monster’s Café (Production Central, Universal Studios Florida) – The menu here is fairly standard for many quick-service restaurants (burgers, pizza, rotisserie chicken), but what we really love about this place is the theming. Inside you can find displays with props and costumes from classic Universal monster films like The Mummy and The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Mel’s Drive-In (Hollywood, Universal Studios Florida) – This 1950s style diner, inspired by the film American Graffiti, serves up exactly what you want from such a diner. You’ll find burgers, French fries, onion rings, and apple pie for dessert. It’s easy to spot Mel’s because of all the vintage cars parked outside.

Fast Food Boulevard is a food court featuring different counters serving pizza, fried seafood, burgers, and more. It’s all cleverly themed to the Simpsons, of course, with lots of fun references for fans of the show. You can also sit inside Moe’s Tavern and order a Duff Beer.

Thunder Falls Terrace (Jurassic Park, Islands of Adventure) – If you have a craving for ribs, this is the place to go. Rotisserie chicken and some yummy sides like rice and beans are also available. This spot has a reputation for consistently good food, but is typically not as crowded as more popular quick-service restaurant. Some seating also has a view of the nearby Jurassic Park River Adventure.

Many options pay homage to traditional British cuisine, such as the Toad in a Hole or the Bangers and Mash. You can also get lots of great specialty drinks here that you can only get in Diagon Alley, like the Fishy Green Ale (it’s yummier than it sounds) and the Tongue Tying Lemon Squash.

Three Broomsticks (Hogsmeade, Islands of Adventure) – Hogsmeade also has its own restaurant, the Three Broomsticks, serving a variety of British cuisine-inspired options. My favorite happens to be the Cornish Pasties, and they also serve good Fish and Chips. If you have a group of four or more, consider the Great Feast, a huge combination platter including salad, rotisserie chicken, spare ribs, corn on the cob, and roast potatoes. This is also our favorite quick-service restaurant for theming, with lots of great details in the dining area.
