Disney World Deliciousness: Chef Mickey’s

934723_10153487849081662_886703070342923941_nOne of the most sought after Character Dining experiences at Disney World is Chef Mickey’s located on the 4th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort!  It is such a popular dining location, that a brunch has now been added so that even more might have a chance at a reservation.  With great food and fun character interactions, it’s no wonder it is a Disney World favorite!!

Before you are seated, you will get to have your picture made with the statue of Chef Mickey as a keepsake. Chef Mickey’s Fun Time Buffet is a great way to fill everyone’s hungry tummies!  The Breakfast Buffet includes pancakes, Mickey waffles (our favorite), eggs, bacon, a yummy cheesy potato casserole as well as seasonal fruits, yogurt, cereal and pastries.  If you want to eat a little later in the day, Brunch is a great alternative with BBQ ribs, ham, sausage, seafood etouffee, peel-n-eat shrimp, and a delicious Caesar salad just to name a few of the many items to choose from.  For dinner, you can dine on roasted turkey breast, beef sirloin, baked salmon and pastas with plenty of luscious sides to go with your meal.  You will want to save a little room for the Sundae Bar for dessert!!

They spend a nice amount of time at your table visiting with you and your little ones, signing autographs, taking pictures and just being their awesomely wonderful selves!!  Be sure and let your servers know if you celebrating a special occasion…we enjoyed delicious cupcakes for our anniversary!!

Another bonus is riding the monorail to the Contemporary Resort to enjoy this MAGICAL dining experience! What a great way to begin your unforgettable meal!!  Be sure and make your reservations 180 days from your trip arrival as you won’t want to miss out on this one!  Enjoy!!

As Julie says: “I am addicted to all things Disney! :) I grew up in Vernon, TX and now reside in Waller, TX (outside of Houston) on a small ranch with my hubby and all of our animals who we affectionately call “The Zoo Crew”! We have been married almost a year now (together for 7) and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren between the 2 of us. We knew we were meant for each other when we discovered we were both Disney fanatics! :) I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 6 and fell in love with the magic of Disney. Now, my husband and I go to Disney World every 2 years either with friends or with whichever kid and grandkid are available to go at the time. We spend a lot of time planning our trips to ensure that everyone has the most memorable time while there, so that is what I will be writing about and hopefully give you some ideas to try for YOUR next Disney vacation. I am very excited to be a part of The Affordable Mouse team!”
