Disney Resort Spotlight: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is a deluxe resort at Walt Disney World located on Crescent Lake among a cluster of resorts between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The resort features nautical-style décor and takes its elegant and stately inspiration from New England yacht clubs.

This resort shares some of its amenities with the neighboring Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and is also within walking distance of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn via a bridge across Crescent Lake as well as the nearby Swan and Dolphin Resorts. It’s also walking distance from one of Walt Disney World’s mini-golf courses, Fantasia Gardens.

One of the things this resort is most known for is its amazing pool. The winding, sand-bottom Stormalong Bay is the largest resort pool at Walt Disney World, twisting and turning for 3 acres. Guests can enjoy waterslides, explore shipwrecks, or unwind in one of the three whirlpool spa tubs. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort also has a quiet leisure pool for guests to enjoy.

The resort’s rooms are crisp and bright in their décor, and guests have a choice of garden, lagoon/pool, or standard view. Most rooms can sleep up to 5 adults with 2 queen beds and a day bed, and rooms with 2 queen beds or 1 king bed are also available. Guests can also choose from a variety of suites and rooms with Club Level access.

Guests looking for fine dining will enjoy Yachtsman Steakhouse, or you can enjoy more casual dining at the Captain’s Grille. The Crew’s Cup Lounge serves appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees, or relax with a drink at the Ale & Compass Lounge. The lounge also has a marketplace with a selection of breakfast sandwiches and wraps during the day. Guests are also a short walk away from the dining available at Disney’s Beach Club Resort such as character breakfasts and seafood dinners at Cape May Café or burgers and ice cream at Beaches & Cream.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort offers boat transportation to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and both parks are also about a 15-minute walk from the resort. There is bus transportation to the other theme parks and Disney Springs. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort frequently shares its buses with the other Epcot-area resorts.
