The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are unique accommodations available at Walt Disney World consisting of stand-alone cabins in natural wilderness. The resort is located southeast of the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
Instead of rooms, guests staying at this resort receive a full cabin that can sleep up to 6 guests. Each cabin includes a full kitchen, a bedroom with a queen bed and bunk bed, and a sleeper sofa. It’s worth considering if you prefer to prepare some of your own meals while on vacation.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offer a wide variety of resort activities that are unique to this location such as archery, horseback riding, wagon rides, canoe and kayak rentals, and more. Guests can also take part in Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-Along, where guests can roast marshmallows and meet Chip and Dale, weather permitting.
The main pool at this resort is located at the Meadow Trading Post, which also has a selection of groceries and souvenirs. Because of the spread-out nature of the cabins, the resort runs an internal bus to transport guests to other locations around the resort, so guests can take a bus to the Meadow Trading Post to visit the pool.
For dining, guests will find dining options at the Settlement Depot, a stop along the edge of Bay Lake at the north of the resort. Guests can enjoy a hearty buffet at Trail’s End Restaurant, or enjoy an entertaining dinner show at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers bus transportation to the four Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs. From the Settlement Depot, guests can also take a water taxi to the Magic Kingdom.
