Disney Fun From Around the World: Week of September 19, 2011

Greetings Disney friends and Happy Weekend to you! My-oh-my what a busy news week it was in the land of Disney! 🙂 Of course, I am sure you heard some of it right? Well, not ALL had to do with large, blue people invading Disney World….. Here are some highlights!

I wanted to start with Brenda’s weekly series on Chip and Co.: Wednesday with Walt This week she described a dream of One Big, Happy Disney Community and you know…it sounds like an awesome idea to me! Plus, there is some info (finally!) about Walt Disney World’s 40th Anniversary Events!

Do you have little ones? Be sure to read this from Disney Babies Blog: Is That Kid Friendly? for some great tips!

Kelly was on a roll at Disney Guru this week! First, we learned about a A Unique Way to Save for Disney and I have to say…Kelly, I do believe this is the most unique idea I have heard yet lol! 🙂 Then, she shared about her family’s experience meeting Celebrities at Disney World Have you ever met anyone famous at a Disney park?

In addition to the big 40th Anniversary next week, Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival begins: what a week! Disney Parks Blog introduced us to a specialty of one of the Guest Chefs this year (and a personal favorite of mine): Tiramisu with the ‘Cake Boss’ at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Lisa had some excellent tips over on WDW Fan Zone for anyone trying to decide what to do about strollers: The Disney Stroller Debate

And if you have ever gone anywhere with children…whether by plane, train, or car…..you must read this from Your Highway in the Sky: Tips for Traveling with Kids Great ideas here!

So. You heard about the big announcement about Avatar coming to Animal Kingdom, right? There were only like a thousand blog posts about this news..both for and against (ok, mostly against lol). 🙂 But I wanted to share a few of what I felt to be the most interesting discussions about this, so that you could get some information about what is known, not known, and a few different opinions as well.
