Disney Fun From Around the World: Week of July 11, 2011

Greetings Disney Friends! It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve had a Disney blog round-up, since last week we were in the middle of our Disney Memories Giveaway. What fun that was, reading the wonderful memories from our writers…and from all of you! Thank you so much for participating and sharing such special moments in your lives: that’s what Disney is all about, isn’t it? 🙂

Here are just a few of my favorite blog posts from the past TWO weeks. Hope you enjoy!

Chip and Co shared, as always, some great Disney fun and information. If you have heard rumors about some changes possibly coming to refillable mugs, here’s the scoop: New Refillable Mug Technology Being Tested at All Star Sports. Meanwhile, our dear Brenda continued her heartwarming series, Wednesday with Walt: A Disney Love Story. Brenda also had some great information in Disney Planning 101 – Tipping at Walt Disney World. Finally, Lisa has some AWESOME ideas for how to do Disney affordably…but not feel like you are: Disney: Get it For Less

Disney Dispatch is one of my favorite blogs. I loved this article, reminding us that while it may be the middle of summer, Christmas is coming: Disney Christmas in July. And if you love Buzz LIghtyear’s ride as much as my family does, you will totally appreciate this article: Scoring High on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

No one likes packing. But Disney Guru has some excellent tips for making sure you bring what you need so you don’t spend money buying it there: Packing for Disney

Nothing says summer like ice cream, and Disney Parks Blog shares where to find the best icy treats: Our Top 10 Irresistible Ice Cream Treats at Disney Parks

I’ve often shared how much I love that Disney can be fun AND educational at the same time, and Magical Mouse Schoolhouse is dedicated to showing us how. Epcot World Showcase: The France Pavilion and Epcot Kidcot Fun Stops are two great examples.

There has been a lot of internet buzz about the recently announced changes to the monorail schedule during Evening Extra Magic Hours. While a lot has been said, I thought this article from The Disney Blog put the conversation is a slightly different light, and was important to share: The Monorails Must Roll

Last, but absolutely not least, this wonderful article from April on WDW Fan Zone is perfect for those of you who are “crafty” and even those who aren’t: Disney Vacation Savings Jars. Because really, if we’re going to save, why not make it fun? 🙂
