Disney Fun From Around the World: Week of February 14, 2011

Greetings Disney Friends and Happy Weekend to you! Did you get a touch of Spring this week where you live? Could it be that the Groundhog was right? Probably too much to hope for, but Disney folk like to Dream and Wish, don’t they? 🙂 No matter the weather where you live today, I have as usual, some great blog posts that will warm your heart. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Let’s start off with our friends from Chip and Company. Ken had a couple great articles this week. In his Oldies But Goodies he provided Six Important Reasons For Seniors To Stay Onsite. He also had an article that I really liked: Disney World Quick Tips – Please Take Your Time, It’s Not Going Anywhere. It’s hard not to rush through everything when maybe you don’t get to Disney World very often…you want to make the most of your trip! But there are some great things you miss when you do….Lastly, Chip has some news, especially for those of you who love the movie cars: ANNOUNCEMENT: DisneyToon Studios Announces Planes!

Disney Driven Life always has a wonderful variety of interesting and often very touching articles. Here were 3 of my favorites this week: In CHARACTER LETTER WRITING FUN we learned how kids who don’t like to write, might find it more interesting if they write to a favorite character. What a super idea! A GEM FROM JIMINY points out that all those Disney movies have some true “words of wisdom” in them… And lastly, a follow-up from last week’s Part 1, Shaene shares how Disney can become an inspiration and life-long love: A DREAM IS A WISH YOUR HEART MAKES… PART 2

Disney Food Blog had an interesting review this week of a tour that we took several years ago and LOVED: Disney Food for Families Review: Behind the Seeds Tour in Epcot. If you love gardening and “growing things” you will love this tour too. Bonus: it is not expensive!

I loved this article from “our” Kelly over on her blog Disney Guru about something that was near to Walt’s heart…and mine (especially when I am hot and tired):Walt Disney World Railroad

If you have ever wished that you could eat at Disney World as healthfully as possible, you will love, as I did, this article from Shannon at Meltdown Free Disney: Who You Calling Pooh-sized?

WDW Fan Zone had some interesting information this week. Kristen shared the Top 5 Drinks You Must Try At Club Cool. I have to say that personally, I am not a huge Club Cool fan, but after reading this, I may give it another shot on our next trip. I also loved this article that Chris wrote about Pop Century: our writer Kelly wrote a great review of Pop Century not long ago: Chris offers more details about this popular resort in A Stop in Time.

Last but definitely not least, there were a couple of articles from Disney Dispatch that I wanted to call your attention to this week. Because I Stinkin’ Love Disney World shares 5 delicious desserts (Warning: do NOT read this while hungry! ) And then, there is a new monthly column by someone that you may be familiar with: Nancy’s Monthly Magic 🙂

Have a wonderful and magical weekend!
