Trying the different restaurants in Epcot is an exciting and fun adventure while at Disney World. Eating around The World, trying new and different food and drink is a great way to enjoy your dining experience while there. On our last trip, we decided to try authentic German food and made reservations at Biergarten Restaurant…we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our time there!!
Decorated like a traditional Bavarian village, you are immediately transported to the middle of an Oktoberfest celebration complete with an oompah band onstage playing lively german songs. You are encouraged to get on the dancefloor in front of the stage and polka to your hearts content…the little ones were having an awesome time!! The seating surrounding the stage is at communal, biergarten-style tables, so be prepared to meet your neighbors and make new friends!!
With a family style buffet filled with scrumptious dish after dish…mouthwatering entrees from German Sausages to Meatballs, Bratwurst to Roasted Pork, Beef Rouladen to Pork Schnitzel…we ate to our hearts content!! Appetizers included different salads…Beet, Macaroni, Tomato, Cabbage, Potato, Wurst and Seasonal…and they were ALL delicious!! If you are 21 and above, there is also a wonderful selection of German beer and wines to choose from as well!! When we thought we couldn’t hold anymore…we saw the dessert buffet and thought…why not…we are on vacation, right? Oh my goodness…the desserts were to die for…with Bavarian Cheesecake, Apple Strudel, Black Forrest Cake, Vanilla Pudding, Fresh Fruits…we had to have a taste of each one. After feasting until we could feast no more….we visited with our dining neighbors and let our stomachs settle!
You will DEFINITELY want to come hungry for lunch or dinner to Biergarten!! We have added it to our “favorites” list and will definitely be back on our next trip in November!! Stay tuned for next month’s post…Bongo’s Cuban Café in Downtown Disney!!
As Julie says: “I am addicted to all things Disney! I grew up in Vernon, TX and now reside in Waller, TX (outside of Houston) on a small ranch with my hubby and all of our animals who we affectionately call “The Zoo Crew”! We have been married almost a year now (together for 7) and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren between the 2 of us. We knew we were meant for each other when we discovered we were both Disney fanatics! I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 6 and fell in love with the magic of Disney. Now, my husband and I go to Disney World every 2 years either with friends or with whichever kid and grandkid are available to go at the time. We spend a lot of time planning our trips to ensure that everyone has the most memorable time while there, so that is what I will be writing about and hopefully give you some ideas to try for YOUR next Disney vacation. I am very excited to be a part of The Affordable Mouse team!”
